First Lutheran Church

First Lutheran Church is a Loving, Caring and Very Friendly Church who accepts and invites all who Grace the Doors of our Lord Jesus Christ to worship with us!  First Lutheran Church was first established in 1961 with a handful of Spiritually visionary driven people excited about a mission in Inverness Florida.

Since 1961, First Lutheran has moved from a smaller sanctuary into the current sanctuary with a capacity of over 300 people.  In 2012, members of First Lutheran traveled to Walter Reed Medical Facility in Maryland and purchased the current Pipe Organ which graces the House of our Lord today.  We invite all veterans and the public to come and see this Historical Veteran's Pipe Organ.  First Lutheran is a community/mission minded church that looks forward to sharing the Love of Jesus and His Gospel messages to all peoples.

In 2012, we became partner's with Kids Central of Florida, (Grandparents/Guardians) raising their grandchildren and this adventure continues today reaching out to the youth and adults alike.  We are also proud partners in Christ with:  Citrus County Blessings in Backpack, The Homeless Shelter & Pantry, Blankets for the Sheriff's Department, Alcoholics Anonymous, Citrus County Food Addicts, and Citrus Abuse Shelter Association (CASA).  From choirs, hand bells, youth programs, bible studies, worship, women's groups, VBS, fun nights, to many other activities, First Lutheran loves to enjoy all the Blessings which Our Lord gave us!  (Note...First Lutheran...we love our food and potlucks a lot)!

Since 1961 to present date, five pastors have served the members of First Lutheran.  The Reverend's Springer, Schultz, Claus, Fisher, and the current Pastor Tom Beaverson.

Come and join us and see for yourself the Love of Jesus that the peoples of First Lutheran and Christ have in store for you.

Worship God, love one another and share the love of Christ.
